Our Aim
At Langley School of Dance our aim is to deliver fun and enjoyable dance classes in a safe and friendly environment. We follow the ISTD syllabus and offer examinations in Ballet, Tap & Modern to all children, however these examinations are not compulsory.

Through creative and imaginative learning we nurture your child’s ability whilst having fun and making lifelong friends.

Pre School Ballet & Tap Dance Classes
Our Pre School Ballet & Tap classes are held at St Mary’s Church Hall, Shortlands, BR2 0PU on Friday 2.00pm-2.45pm and Saturday 9.00am-9.45am.
These classes are for children aged 2.5 years - 4 years. Children are encouraged to learn through dance and imagination. We learn the basic dance steps and positions, begin to learn our basic motor skills (such as skipping) and have great fun at the same time.
The ballet class lasts 30 minutes, we then have 15 minutes for tap dancing. During tap, children are encouraged to explore the sounds their shoes make and we begin to learn the basic tap steps.
Ballet Dance Classes
Our Ballet classes cover a range of grades, from Baby Ballet upwards. As the students abilities improve they can move up the grades and in classes we focus on technique and ensuring that our students have strong core strength and are able to dance to their full potential.
Tap Classes
Our Tap Classes are the beginnings to work towards graded tap and even vocational grades (Intermediate, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2). Our aim is to develop basic skills and technique to ensure that the students understand the rhythm in the music and express their moves in an artistic way in a fun, friendly and supportive environment.
Mini Movers Street Jazz
It is an all boys street class for children aged 2.5 years - 4 years. Boys are encouraged to dance and move to ‘funky’ pop music. The boys classes are fun and energetic, they help teach co-ordination and timing along with basic dance movements.

Primary School Clubs
Langley School of Dance offer Ballet & Tap classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at Sydenham High Junior School, this club is purely for the children who attend the school.
Easter & Summer Camps
Our Easter and Summer camps are extremely popular, we offer an action packed week of singing, dancing and acting teaching children sections from their favourite musicals, a small show is then performed at the end of the week.
